Hello Loggers!
We are excited about the upcoming year and want to share an opportunity to win some wonderful prizes. Students who submit their vaccination OR exemption forms by the required deadline of Aug. 2 will be entered into a drawing for prizes. The drawing dates are July 20, July 27, and Aug. 2. Submit your information early to take advantage of all the drawings! Drawing and prize information are at the end of this message.
Tips for Timing Your Vaccination:
- If you are not fully vaccinated or have not begun a vaccine series, please keep in mind that in order to get your final shot by or on the final deadline of Aug. 2, the latest you can get the first Moderna shot is July 5, the latest you can get the first Pfizer vaccine is July 12, and the latest you can get a Johnson & Johnson vaccine is Aug. 2.
- Haven’t begun and want to make the July 20 prize deadline? The latest you can get the first Pfizer was June 29, and the latest you can get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is by July 20.
- Interested in the July 27 prize deadline? You need to have received the first Moderna vaccine shot by June 29, or to get the first Pfizer vaccine shot by July 6 or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine by July 27.
- As long as you have uploaded your vaccination OR exemption forms into the CHWS portal by the stated deadlines, you will be entered into the drawings. If your portal says your immunizations or waiver forms are “awaiting review,” don’t worry! This means your information has been received, and you will be entered into the drawing. The vaccine and waiver information will be formally reviewed by the CHWS staff within two weeks of you submitting the information. If anything goes wrong with the submission, or we need additional information, a CHWS staff member will get back to you. It won’t affect your entry into the drawing.
Please note: You are not considered fully vaccinated until two weeks after your last vaccination shot. Please keep this in mind as you time your arrival to campus. Fully vaccinated students will be immediately cleared for in-person activities following “gateway” testing upon arrival to campus. Unvaccinated students with approved exemptions or students who have not met the fully vaccinated threshold will need to self-quarantine until their gateway tests are returned with negative results (about three days).
