While rare, the chance of an emergency on campus is real and is one that we prepare for with detailed response plans and drills. In the event of an emergency, you’ll receive a text or email notification, hear an announcement over loudspeakers, and can find information on the university website with instructions and updates from campus leaders.
Our Security Services staff is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist you in the event you lose your keys, need an escort to or from campus, or experience an emergency
We strive to create an environment where sexual misconduct is unacceptable and reports of harassment, unwelcome sexual conduct, and discrimination are taken seriously. Puget Sound offers sexual misconduct prevention trainings, including Green Dot Bystander Training, and resources for members of the campus community who experience sexual violence, including protecting the victim from retaliation or harm and conducting an investigation through our Title IX office.
The Office of Rights and Responsibilities maintains the standards of the Student Integrity Code and works with students to examine themselves, their values, and their behaviors as part of a holistic, educational conduct process.
As part of the federal civil rights law protecting individuals from discrimination based on sex in educational programs, Puget Sound’s Title IX coordinator handles inquiries regarding discrimination, harassment, and misconduct; upholds the university’s anti-discrimination policies, and investigates reports of sex and gender-based discrimination on campus
At Puget Sound, we care for our members experiencing financial and food insecurity, through programs like the clothing closet, food pantry, textbook lending library, and donated Dining Dollars.
