A Halloween Night at the Museum!

What does it mean when a snake is showing off its bright red and yellow stripes? Which bird do those bright yellow eyes belong to in that tree trunk? Celebrate Halloween with us and learn about how animals use their colors to trick- or treat- their neighbors!

Live animals- Get up close and personal with some special guests from the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium!

Specimen preparation- As always, our Collections Manager will be turning dead animals into museum specimens. Ask questions and get hands-on with his dissections and preparations!

Kid's craft- Make an accordion-folded snake with bright warning colors!

And because we are celebrating Halloween, go trick-or-treating at all our specimen tables!

This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in event.

Halloween costumes are encouraged!

Join us October 26th, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the University of Puget Sound Campus (located at 1500 N Warner St, Tacoma, WA 98416) in Thompson Hall room 295. Directions to Thompson Hall can be found here.
