Violin and Guitar Instructor
Alonso Tirado earned a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in music education from the University of Puget Sound in 2020.
Equally at home in a symphony orchestra or in a rock band, Alonso prioritizes his career as a performer, recording artist, teacher, educator, composer, and songwriter. Alonso works with dozens of students of all ages and walks of life. In addition to his teaching position in Community Music Department at the University of Puget Sound, Mr. Tirado is active as a teacher at Cappella Music Academy, the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association, and Annie Wright Schools.
Alonso Tirado loves sharing and passing along his excitement and passion for music to his students, just as he learned to value and cherish music from his teachers during his youth.
In the summer time, in addition to his other musical activities, you can find Alonso teaching at institutes such as the Lake Samamish Music Camp and TYSA's Evergreen Music Festival, or perhaps even spotting seals at Owen Beach.
