Dawn Gray

Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education, Physical Therapy

Prof. Gray has over 20 years of clinical experience - all in inpatient settings - beginning in the VA system on acute care and Spinal Cord Injury services. She has also worked in skilled nursing and long-term acute care settings, and has served as director of rehabilitation. Prof. Gray maintains current practice at a public hospital in the most diverse county of the state, where she enjoys working on the Intensive Care Unit and challenging patients who underestimate their physical limits. She currently serves on the American Physical Therapy Association's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and volunteers for an organization that enriches quality of life for people with disability through outdoor recreational activities. In her dual role as Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of Clinical Education, Prof. Gray’s teaching focuses on preparing students for clinical practice via experiences in the PT on-site clinic and full-time internships.
