Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,
On Wednesday, I convened a town hall meeting with Provost Laura Behling and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sherry Mondou on the comprehensive academic, administrative and auxiliary program review that we are about to undertake.
The session was very well attended; we reached the Zoom meeting cap of 300 very quickly, and not everyone who wanted to attend was able to get in. Therefore, in order to accommodate those who were not able to join, we will repeat the program on Friday, April 2, 11 a.m.–noon.
As communicated earlier, the goal of the comprehensive program review is to make sure we are aligning our work and our resources to best support our mission, achieve our strategic goals and secure a sound future. In addition, it will help us identify areas for future investment and ways we might become more efficient and effective in executing our work together. At its February meeting, the Board of Trustees expressed its support for my recommendation to undertake this comprehensive review at this time. The Board Chair’s report to the campus community following the meeting included a summary of the board’s actions related to the planned review. The campus community members can also access the full Board Resolution for more information. I encourage you to review this information in advance of the town hall.
We must make thoughtful, purposeful, sustainable, and long-term decisions that are informed by data; grounded in our mission; and benefit from the participation, insight, and wisdom of our campus community. We are ready to share more about this process with you and respond to your questions. I hope you can join us.
Sincerely,
Isiaah.
Isiaah Crawford, Ph.D. | President.
