Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,
It was good to see so many of you in attendance at last week’s town hall meeting about the spring semester. I hope it was helpful in addressing your questions about our new testing protocol and plans to move ahead with a combination of in-person, remote, and hybrid instruction. A video recording of the session is posted at pugetsound.edu/covid19internal, along with a town hall meeting for students and families that provided more information about the residential experience for spring.
I wish to thank you all again for your dedication and hard work in supporting our students and seeing us through this challenging time. Typically, at the end of the fall semester I host a holiday brunch so that we can celebrate together. Given our inability to do so at this time, the university has made a gift in honor of our faculty and staff members to the Emergency Food Network and the Campus Food Pantry. The donations seemed to be a fitting way to celebrate our community’s spirit of generosity and care for others during the holiday season.
I look forward to seeing all of you next month, and meanwhile wish you and yours a happy, healthy and safe winter break.
Sincerely,
Isiaah
