Dear Members of the Campus Community,

Please note important reminders and new information to support the health and safety of the campus community this spring.

Proof of Booster Shots Is Required
On Dec. 17, 2021, we announced that COVID-19 booster shots are required prior to returning to campus following winter break or as soon as you are eligible. If you have not already, please upload your updated vaccination cards here as soon as possible, and no later than Feb. 14:

Spring Semester and Spring Break Testing Plan

  • Throughout the month of February, testing will be available Monday–Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Upper Marshall Hall. You are also welcome to drop off tests at other times in the drop box located across from Wheelock Student Center, Rm. 208. Please drop off your weekly test no later than 3 p.m. on Thursday of each week.
  • We anticipate resuming weekly randomized testing of 10% of the campus community at the beginning of March until spring break.
  • We will resume testing of the entire campus community for at least two weeks following spring break. Please plan to submit a PCR saliva test within 3–5 days of returning to campus.
  • If you are traveling for spring break, you are welcome to pick up a free home test kit for use should you become symptomatic or wish to test during the break. A limited number of tests (no more than one per person, and as supplies last) can be picked up in Facilities Services or Security Services.

Large Gatherings Anticipated to Resume March 1
For planning purposes, we anticipate lifting the temporary restriction on large group gatherings on March 1, with continuation of required COVID-19 mitigations, including those outlined in the Event Policy and COVID-19 Visitor Guidelines and Procedures. We will keep you informed should this change for any reason.

Wear a KN95, N95 or Surgical/Medical Mask on Campus
We no longer recommend the use of cloth masks. KN95, N95 or surgical/medical masks  are recommended for those who are vaccinated, and required for those who are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated. Masks are available for pick up at Facilities Services, Security Services, and outside the Dean of Students Office in Wheelock Student Center.

Additional information, including frequently asked questions, is available at pugetsound.edu/coronavirus

Thank you for your ongoing observance of pandemic-related protocols as we work together to create the best possible environment for the campus community.

Sincerely,

On behalf of the COVID-19 Management Group and Emergency Policy Council
