This event will feature:
Kid's Activity - Make a fluffy polar bear or snowflake in our craft room!
Live Animal Guest - One of our very own museum skinners (who is also a falconer) will be at the event with her Harris's Hawk!
Tacoma Energy - Come learn how to heat your home more efficiently in the winter and keep cozy indoors!
Scavenger Hunt - As you learn about these different animals adapted for cold weather, pick up a sticker at each table - who knows, there might be a prize if you get them all!
Specimen Preparation - As always, our Collections Manager will be turning dead animals into museum specimens. You'll be able to watch, ask questions, and get hands-on with his dissections and preparations!
This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in event!
