The last Night at the Museum of 2015!

Come bundle up and check out some of our cold weather critters! The last Night at the Museum event of the year is on Thursday, December 3rd from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. and will feature specimens from around the world who battle the elements in various ways. From thick fur to white fur, fat stores to hibernation, come learn how different species beat the cold!

This event will feature:

Kid's Activity - Make a fluffy polar bear or snowflake in our craft room!

Live Animal Guest - One of our very own museum skinners (who is also a falconer) will be at the event with her Harris's Hawk!

Tacoma Energy - Come learn how to heat your home more efficiently in the winter and keep cozy indoors!

Scavenger Hunt - As you learn about these different animals adapted for cold weather, pick up a sticker at each table - who knows, there might be a prize if you get them all!

Specimen Preparation - As always, our Collections Manager will be turning dead animals into museum specimens. You'll be able to watch, ask questions, and get hands-on with his dissections and preparations!

This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in event!

Join us Thursday, December 3rd, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the University of Puget Sound Campus (located at 1500 N Warner St, Tacoma, WA 98416) in Thompson Hall room 295. Please find directions to Thompson Hall here
