Priti Joshi organized and led a (virtual) roundtable on “Anti-racism and British 19th century Studies” for the North American Victorian Studies Association, of which she is a member, on Aug 12, 2020. The roundtable was attended by almost 200 scholars from across the US, UK, and Canada. |

| Two professors from the English department were honored at the annual faculty dinner. Professor Priti Joshi was named a Distinguished Professor and Professor Tiffany Aldrich MacBain was presented with a Davis Teaching Award. Created in 2003, the dean's teaching awards were named to honor Thomas A. Davis, who served as dean of the university from 1973 to 1994. Faculty members in the ranks of instructor, assistant professor, and associate professor are eligible for the award. |
