During Commencement Weekend, the Office for Intercultural Engagement hosts four events of great importance to the campus community: the First Generation Graduates Recognition, Graduates of Color Celebration, Indigenous Graduates Celebration, and Lavender Graduates Celebration.

These four identity-based celebrations represent the university’s commitment to recognizing the unique challenges and triumphs that first-generation college students, students of color, Indigenous students, and LGBTQ+ students navigate in society and on campus, acknowledging their unique achievements as they graduate from Puget Sound.

Borrow a Cap and Gown for Commencement

In conjunction with the Center for Student Support, we also loan out graduation caps and gowns as a means of making commencement more financially accessible.
