The Center for Speech and Effective Advocacy, temporarily housed in Howarth 210, is a distinctive feature of liberal arts education on the Puget Sound campus. The Speech Center — a partner to our successful, well-established Center for Writing & Learning — is a location for faculty development and student support, both curricular and co-curricular.
Students and colleagues of all skill levels are welcome to use the resources of the Speech Center, which include:
- Student Peer Speech Consultants, to meet with students or groups by appointment for guidance in speech preparation, rehearsal (including video recording and playback), and helpful critique
- Workshops for students and faculty members
- Course or class consultations
